Different types of valves and pipes.

This Architectural Drawing is of Different types of valves and pipes. Pipe valves are mechanisms or devices to regulate or control the flow of liquid or gas within a pipe. While some valves are used to regulate the rate of flow, there are others that are used to stop it completely in order to prevent flooding or allow repairs to be made. In an industrial system, and in any piping system, valves are used to restrict, stop or control the flow of fluid. More specifically, some industrial valves are used to: Control the cooling rates of water through cooling lines to regulate the temperature. A valve is a device or natural object that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. Valves are for starting or stopping flow, regulating or throttling flow, preventing back flow or relieving and regulating pressure in fluid or gaseous handling applications. Common valve types include: Ball,Butterfly,Check, Diaphragm, Gate, Globe, Knife Gate, Parallel Slide, Pinch, Piston, Plug, Sluice, etc. For more details and information download the drawing file.
