Total Cutting Length for Vertical Reinforcement = Anchorage Length at the bottom of the pile + the height of the pile + development length (40d) + Lap length (50d) &ndash; clear cover provided at the bottom. &nbsp;The overall depth of pile cap shall also be selected such that the effective depth of bottom reinforcement is&nbsp;<strong>at least 12 inches</strong>. The grade of concrete to be used for piling should be&nbsp;<strong>minimum M25</strong>&nbsp;(or as as required at the site for load conditions) with the minimum cement content of 400 kg/m³.
