Description
This slab cutting section detail drawing illustrates the structural arrangement of a reinforced concrete slab edge connected with masonry wall construction. The drawing shows a reinforced concrete repair section at the slab edge, including a drip edge projection measuring approximately three-quarters inch, which helps control water drainage from the slab surface. Above the slab edge, a mortar finish layer prepared with a cement lime sand mixture in proportion one-sixth is applied with an approximate thickness of 5 mm and a brush finish surface. The section also shows a protective mortar cap and brick cover layer placed above the wall edge for structural finishing and water protection. Masonry wall construction is formed using hollow concrete block units installed with cement-sand mortar in a one-fourth proportion, creating a stable vertical wall structure supporting the slab system.
