Side view of cooling tower with dimensions

Description

This architectural plan is Side view of cooling tower with dimensions. It uses a process called 'evaporative cooling', where cooling water and air are in direct contact with each other, to lower the temperature of the hot water. This then allows small amounts of water to evaporate, and therefore continue to lower the temperature of the water circulating throughout the tower. The structural frame of a cooling tower is typically made of galvanized steel, but stainless steel is also an option. Fiberglass reinforced polyester casing panels, steel, or stainless casing panels for extra corrosion resistance are all options. The cooling tower's capacity is the product of the mass flow rate of water, specific heat, and temperature difference. This can also be expressed as heat rejected in kCal/hr (Btu/h). Evaporation loss. This is the amount of water that is evaporated during the cooling process. For more details and information download the drawing file.
